THE BLACKWOOD CASE - 2004 - 14 MIN

Tailing a cheating husband. A simple case, not to mention easy money, for just about any private detective. But for Paul Martin no case is easy. They always end up turning a little weird on him…

The Blackwood Case was written, produced and completed between May 2004 and July 2004.

While Enigma was shot on the leisurely schedule of free time and weekends, The Blackwood Case came together in less than three months, from the first idea committed to paper, to the final film being delivered to a local film festival.

The idea started with the concept of a private detective who always seems to run into cases that end up delving into the supernatural. From that idea the script was written, locations were acquired and a cast and crew were assembled. Principle photography took place over three separate weekends in El Paso, Texas and White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. During that time the score and visual effects elements were being developed by other members of the production.
