History

/

IBIS Films is founded on the basis of production being the elemental process that creates, defines and expresses. We have established a background rich with the processes of design, development and direction. Our members have extensive histories of art and design that are now the link between script and motion picture. Our interest in the world of film and video production is only surmounted by our interest in the establishment of communication to your audience. The Southwest offered a good starting ground for our work as artists. It is not only a hub for great cinematic landscapes, but an abundance of characters to help convey a pluristic approach to production. We have currently expanded to two regions, helping us work over thousands of miles on multiple projects. The Midwest also offers great resources for many of our projects for both clients and films alike.

Profiles

Matthew Montoya

Matthew's interest in video and film production started when he became more aware of how his photography and design were just as integral in the production of motion picture. The same principles he applies to his artwork is constant in his film and video concentration. Matt enjoys the dynamic relationship that is shared with others in the field and finds it to be a rewarding process.

Bernadette Olmsted

Bernadette's strong organizational skills and excellent ability to communicate ideas has made her an invaluable asset to IBIS Films. Acting as producer for all of IBIS' projects since her joining, she keeps productions moving smoothly. She also uses her skills to provide the make-up and wardrobe design on IBIS' productions.

Kevin Olmsted

Kevin has worked in media for 10 years, starting in audio and music recording. After two years of a recording apprenticeship he moved on to television. He first worked on the technical side, then transitioned to the creative side. This unique combination of technical and creative experience, along with formal design education, has given Kevin a unique understanding of the production process. Kevin typically serves as writer and director for most of IBIS Films' productions.
